THE DANDELION BAR
P.O. BOX 498
PLYMOUTH, IN  46563

or

Promo Packs
While we receive a lot of promo packs, we review and listen to each one.  If you have not sent a promo pack or web link in the last year, please send another, along with current set lists that should not include Mustang Sally.  Also note, we take recommendations from our booked bands and bartenders seriously.

Compensation
Bands get to keep the door, plus The Dandelion Bar will reimburse the band up to $150 for promotional expenses incurred exclusively to promote the performance at The Dandelion Bar.  To be reimbursed just provide a record of expenses, specimens of each mode of promotion, and details on target market, distribution methods, and expected reach.  If you need help or ideas, just ask.  If you promote your show properly, you can expect about $1000 per night.

Promotions
Please, put effort into promoting your show.  We are hiring you to bring people to the bar, keep people in the bar, and entertain them while they are there.  While some of us have a personal interest in maintaining a great live music venue in downtown Plymouth for the sake of culture and the arts, it is not free.  To be clear, if you can't bring new people to your shows, we can't bring you back.  Post flyers, send postcards, email fans, place newspaper or radio ads, mention your Dandelion Bar date at other shows, etc.  Be creative.  It has not all been done before.  We want you to gain a following, but talent alone is never enough.

Sound System
Bands will use the house PA and their own, hopefully knowledgeable, sound guy.  If the Dandelion Bar supplies the sound guy he will get $50 from the door.  Once your band is booked we will send you technical specs on the PA.  (our chubby mole covered lawyer says to include this: “sound guy” is a term of art that is gender neutral and just means person who runs sound.  The Dandelion Bar is an equal opportunity employer).

Video System
The bar provides a video projection system for bands to use.  Please use it to entertain and engage during your performance.  It accepts either s-video or video RCA from the stage.  There are no rules for the video.  However, as a guideline, if you would not sit with your mom and watch the video, don’t project it.  If you don’t provide video we will likely just run sound activated visualizations synced with the dance floor lights (boring).

Original Bands
Generally, The Dandelion Bar has cover bands on the weekends, but we are willing to make exceptions for original bands that can entertain and engage.  Typically we just book one band per night, so material filling about three hours would be necessary.  If you do not have 3 hours of material let us know what you do have and we may consider scheduling several bands in one night.

Misc
We need bands to play from 10pm until 2am with a couple 20 minute breaks.
